Joe Da Costa grew up in Northern B.C. where during his formative years he gained his love of photography. Realizing his passion and wanting to develop his ability further, he was accepted to Ryerson Polytechnic Institute in Toronto, Ontario, where he graduated in 1982 with a degree in photographic arts.
Joe moved back to B.C. in 1985, where the Province was gearing up for Expo 86. It was a very good year for Joe which led to the opening of his portrait and wedding studio based in Pitt Meadows, an outlying area of Vancouver. Joe spent the next 10 years working his craft throughout the lower mainland.
In 1997 Joe moved to the Okanagan Valley to open a storefront studio in beautiful downtown Vernon, a very pleasant place to live. The Okanagan lent its majestic scenery and great people to creating stunning photography. Joe would enjoy his success in the Vernon and the Okanagan area for another 10 years.
In 2007 the call of the north was to strong for Joe and he moved up to Prince George B.C. where Joe Da Costa Photography is now based. Joe is excited with the opportunity to meet new and future clients in Prince George and the surrounding areas. Joe also continues to service past and new clients from the Okanagan and enjoys his return visits.
Joe Da Costa Photography specializes in lifestyle family portraits and environmental weddings, while still enjoying all aspects of photography. Joe takes exceptional pride in the completed works, and how the finished product is a treasured memory for his clients.
